Connecting flights & transfer times
When you book your trip, transfer times are always considered, so you should have enough time to get to your connecting flight. That said, here is some helpful information below.
In general, for flights outside of Europe, the minimum connecting time is 45 minutes. For flights within Europe, it’s 30 minutes. If you’ve booked your entire trip via SAS, all transfer times are taken into consideration, so you don’t need to worry.
Scandinavian airports
The minimum required transfer times at Arlanda, Copenhagen and Oslo airports vary depending on your route and any terminal changes. If you're transferring from a non-Schengen flight to a Schengen flight or vice versa, the transfer time is usually a little longer, as you’ll need to go through additional security.
Easy transfer at Copenhagen Airport
Copenhagen Kastrup Airport (CPH) is designed for seamless travel, making connections between SAS and SkyTeam partners easy and hassle-free. With short walking distances between gates and efficient security procedures, you’ll have more time to relax between flights. To make your experience even better, if time allows, you can always buy lounge access.
Airport outside Scandinavia
You can find more detailed information about transfer times at airports outside of Scandinavia by checking the airport’s website. You’ll see on your ticket if you need to change terminals between connecting flights. During your trip, you’ll also find information about your flight on the airport screens.
Baggage
If your baggage is checked through to your final destination, it automatically will be transferred to your connecting flight.
If you need to recheck your baggage, just follow the signs to the baggage claim and check-in counters.
Boarding pass
If you already have your boarding pass for your next flight, just head directly to your departure gate.
If you need a new boarding pass, use a self-service kiosk or check in the SAS app (for SAS flights).
